The Follicular Unit Extraction method involves removing hair follicles from a donor section and grafting them into the section of your head that is balding. The FUE hair transplant method is a simple three step process. You will be guided through the process by Dr. Nayyar during your first consultation.
Step 1: In step one, Dr. Nayyar will analyze your head and choose an area as the donor site. She will then clean the donor site and numb it with lidocaine, a local anesthesia.
Dr. Nayyar will mark the transplantation site at the balding area of your head and then make a series of small incisions.
Step 2: Dr. Nayyar will remove follicular units from the donor site. Follicular units consist of a group of up to four hairs. The follicular units are then removed along with some surrounding skin from the donor site on your head.
Step 3: In step three, the follicular units are inserted into the incisions in the transplantation site, where they gradually start yielding hair.
