Dr. Shutty is a board-certified dermatologist and graduated with highest honors from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in both biology and studio arts. Dr. Shutty subsequently entered into the medicine program at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed his internship and dermatology residency through Nova Southeastern University and Largo Medical Center.
Upon graduating from residency, Dr. Shutty was accepted into a fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital to further study cutaneous allergy and occupationally related skin disorders. While in Boston, Dr. Shutty gained valuable experience in treating patients of all ages with longstanding dermatitis and complex medical dermatologic problems as well as the use of specialized patch testing for the detection of allergic skin conditions.
He enjoys all aspects of dermatologic care including general, pediatric, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. Dr. Shutty is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. Dr. Shutty enjoys living in the Tampa Bay community as well as tennis, skiing, boating, photography, scuba-diving, playing the piano, and traveling with his family. Dr. Shutty is dedicated to providing quality and compassionate care to each of his patients.
